In the fall of 1998, Tiffany Amber (Folake Folarin-Coker) launched her debut collection to rave reviews. Since then, Tiffany Amber collections have become synonymous with ultra-feminine pieces with exquisite detail made from the most luxurious fabrics.
Here are some of our favourite pieces from over the years as we have followed her collection showings in Nigeria and all over the world, plus, a couple pieces from her latest spring/summer 2013 collection…

We recently began to follow Christie Brown (Aisha Obuobi), a Ghanaian based luxury women’s fashion brand. Good stuff, wow.
Her pieces are bold and at the same time practical enough for everyday wear. We love Christie Brown for her beautiful garments, and for the unique accessories she makes.
The brand was launched in March 2008 with its first run way show in Accra, and has since garnered international acclaim. Here, we bring you pieces from our favourite collection year, the spring/summer 2012 and fall/winter 2012 collections…

The Jo’burg Fashion week held this February showcased subtle sexy, full skirts and cinched waists. Rightly billed as one of the biggest African Fashion Shows, the event did not disappoint. L-R, Thula Sindi and Tart showcased strong collections that we liked!

We also liked designer Nkwo’s collection, showcased at Arise Magazine’s Fashion
Week 2011. Consistent with her nomadic and free spirited theme since her debut in
2007, this collection featured wearable pieces with definite ethnic influences and
vibrant colours. Good stuff.
